Abstract
- The article discusses a study on the experiences of rape survivors in reporting rapes to Western Cape police. It says that 16 survivors were recruited using convenience sampling and were subjected to qualitative interviews. It tells that a thematic analysis was conducted which involves open coding wherein data theme labels were derived. Results revealed experiences including police inconsiderateness, police's failure to respond to concerns, and misinformation which imply poor police service.
