Abstract

The article features the Law Society Library on Chancery Lane in central London, England. The library opened in 1846 with an initial 6,000 volume of books wherein many were donated by members of the Incorporated Law Society. The library has 59,000 volumes. The library is available to all the members of the Law Society while non-members can access the place by purchasing a day pass which costs 16 pounds. The Library's collection is mostly for the use of the practising lawyer which has a large collection of law practitioner textbooks.
