Abstract

The article reports on the closure of the three-star Indian eatery Tabla, owned by restaurateur Danny Meyer, in New York City. This has been Meyer's first failure in his 25 years in the business as the restaurant remained open despite facing bad times. In addition, Meyer is trying his best to help Tabla's 90 full-time staff find new positions before December 30, 2010, the official closing date of the restaurant.
