Abstract

The article focuses on a nine-month-old boy who was first evaluated at six weeks of age for eczematous rash on the head and diaper areas and blood and mucus in the stool and was diagnosed with milk allergy. At eight weeks of age, he developed a petechial rash on his trunk and legs. Blood tests were performed and revealed a decline in the platelet count. He was diagnosed with Wiskott-Aldrich syndrome (WAS). Information about WAS and its differential diagnosis is presented.
