Abstract

With the continuous growth of China's economy, there is an increasingly developmental trend to the overseas M&A by Chinese enterprises in the recent few years with some new characteristics coming out. Based on the 141 cases of overseas M&A in the "cross-border M&A and performance measurement database" provided by UIBE (University of International Business and Economics) cross-border M&A research center as well as related data from UNCTAD and Chinese Commerce Ministry, the main characteristics and the tendency to merge and acquire overseas enterprises are discussed in depth. Meanwhile, the problems found in the process of acquisition are explored profoundly so as to find out the inherent rules of such M&A. Then, some countermeasures are suggested for formulating relevant government policies to accelerate Chinese enterprise's overseas M&A. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
