Magic Rice Paper Transfers.

The article describes the process of transferring images onto ceramic pieces with the use of Japanese rice paper. Image printing using paper enables ceramics makers to simultaneously process images and to store them for further use using wax paper. Almost any color can be printed but pastel colors must be encapsulated stains. The ingredients and formula for a ceramic ink mixture are provided. The silkscreen process for printing the images are explained and illustrated.
