Abstract
- The article presents a study that investigated the occurrence of multiple neoplasms associated with avian leukosis virus subgroup J (ALV-J) in field layer hens. Researchers examined three cases of intestinal adenocarcinoma associated with ALV-J in China during the period of 2007 to 2009. They identified the types of neoplasms found in the hens by pathology and confirmed the results by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and immunohistochemistry (IHC). They observed that the most prevalent neoplasms were hemangiomas, followed by myelocytomas.
