Abstract
- The article features the Shakespeare opera "Promised End," composed by Alexander Goehr. One change Goehr made to the opera is removing Kent, a character in the drama. Another change is having the parts of Regan and Goneril sung as a duet. "Promised End" will debut at the Lunbury Studio Theatre in Covent Garden on October 9, 2010.
