A Remarkable Woman.

A biography of the late Humboldt County, California, resident Annie Frances Zane Murray is presented. She was born near Alton, California, on May 20, 1864. Her family moved to a ranch near Elk River, California. She attended San Jose, California, Normal School from 1883 to 1885 and taught at the Cuddeback School in Carlotta, California, and other schools. She married attorney George Deuchar Murray in August 1892 and they became significant members of Eureka, California, society. She died on June 7, 1960.
