Abstract
- The article discusses how dairy farmers can use bull management to reduce their use of inductions in New Zealand. According to DairyNZ reproductive scientist Chris Burke, farmers with long mating periods will reduce their overall mating period in order to avoid using inductions. DairyNZ's InCalf program offers a risk analysis tool which can help farmers in their bull selection and management.
