The article features former U.S. Marine Sergeant Colin Archipley who decided to become a farmer after serving three combat tours in Iraq. He and his wife Karen bought a property in California which they named Archi's Acres in which Archipley built a greenhouse and a hydroponic growing system. Archipley claims that his entry into organic agriculture helped him cope with the psychological impact of war. Despite initial setbacks, his business began to grow and he plans to help other veterans.
