Abstract

The article discusses a study concerning the biology and ecology of the Red Goshawk Erythrotriorchis radiatus bird in the northern and south-eastern regions in Queensland. It offers information on how field surveys for Red Goshawks were performed at suitable elevated bird viewing points. Some of the courtship displays that occurred in the late morning or early afternoon include territorial marking by a presumed male, mutual soaring of a pair of birds, and the performance of erratic flights. Details regarding their breeding behaviour during the nest-building phase are also described.
