Abstract

The article discusses a study which determined the effectiveness of the use of the in-situ measurement technique for measuring certain chemicals in sea areas like nitrate and hydrosulfide involving the eigenvector of spectrum and absorbance spectrum in ultraviolet (UV) wavelength. Such measurements are necessary to have a better understanding of the ocean and the ecosystem in the coastal area. It reveals that the process was proven to be effective in measuring the chemical contents in sea areas.
