Abstract: The article discusses a study which investigated the safety analysis on the welded joints of mixed submarine oil and gas pipelines at the Nanpu oilfield in east Hebei province during the pipelaying stage. In the evaluation, the permitted sizes of planar defects and the relationship between the crack tip opening displacement (CTOD) values and the defect heights are identified. The determination of security analysis parameters and reference defect size, among others, is also cited.
