Abstract

The article discusses a study that reported an overset grid Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulation for propeller performance in seaway conditions. It examined the propeller that is operating behind a fixed hull in a seaway condition to show the wave effect on propeller performance. Also performed are numerical calculations for a bare hull case to determine the capability of the overset grid CFD approach.
