Abstract
- The article offers news briefs related maritime industry. Drifting buoys were deployed by Marion, Massachusetts-based Horizon Maritime Inc. to trace the dispersion of the Deepwater Horizon oil spill. Houston, Texas-based Seismic Micro-Technology Inc. announced the opening of a sales and support office in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Pennsylvania governor Ed Rendell sought proposals for a public-private partnership to maintain and operate Southport, a marine terminal in South Pennsylvania.
