Abstract
- The article presents information on a study which monitored the rectal temperature, heart and respiratory rates and the course of some blood parameters in calves during perinatal and neonatal periods. It was observed that there was a correlation among individual values for postnatal age and heart rate in calves during the first month of life. The study also showed that there is a significant effect of days of life on total cholesterol, creatinine and glutamate oxalacetate transminases (GOT) during the first week of life.
