Abstract
- Polynomial recursion is easier to understand than linear homogeneous equations. Second and third degree polynomial recursion equations are developed from finite difference equations. A general recursion formula for n<superscript>th</superscript> order polynomials is developed from finite difference equations and given in terms of Pascal's triangle coefficients. Using Excel, several examples of polynomial equations and the resultant recursion formula are given. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
