Abstract

The article focuses on the possibility of committing copyright infringement in the creation of a temporary music for movie trailers in the absence of the original tunes. It says that composers are worried on the thinning line between imitation and duplication in the replication of the music which are requested by executives at studios and movie trailer houses. Trailer music composer Veigar Margeirsson says that a studio or trailer company sometimes pushes to get close to duplication.
