Abstract
- This essay focuses on the intermediating role of the Internet and the barriers to network neutrality. Network neutrality is defined as a network design principle, which points to the aspiration of a public information network to equally treat all content, sites and platforms. A description of the problem of network-neutrality is discussed, in light of the decision of the U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to condemn Comcast's deviation from network neutrality in terms beyond the network level.
