Abstract
- Chapter 17 of the book "The Gaff Rig Handbook," Second Edition, is presented. It presents information on the fishing schooners built in New England and Nova Scotia. Several schooners were built and used in New England due to the coastal and inshore fishing activities of its settlers. The impact of the Revolution of 1776 on fishermen is also mentioned.
