Abstract
- The article features Robert C. Armstrong, a chemical engineering professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Cambridge. It says that Armstrong was a native of Baton Rouge in Louisiana, who grew up engaged in technologies that were responding to the energy needs of the U.S. According to the author, Armstrong was named head of the MIT chemical engineering department in 1996, a role that he played until 2007. Details of the awards received by Armstrong and the role he played in the MIT Energy Initiative (MITEI) are also discussed.
