Abstract

Information on the U.S. Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) from a chapter of the book "How Coins and Bills Are Made" is presented. While the U.S. Mint produces coins, the BEP is tasked with the production of paper money. Also part of the U.S. Department of the Treasury, the BEP prints notes in several denominations at its Washington, D.C. and Forth Worth, Texas.
