Effect of additives in maturation medium on in-vitro maturation, fertilization and cleavage rate of prepubertal goat oocytes.

The article discusses a study on the effects of supplements in the basic media (TCM-199) on in-vitro maturation, fertilization and cleavage rate of prepubertal goat oocytes. Ovaries from prepubertal goats were collected and placed in normal saline solution before being subjected to oocytes recovery. Studies were also made on in-vitro fertilization (in Fert-TALP media) and cleavage rate of in-vitro matured oocytes. It concludes that supplements or additives affects the maturation rate of prepubertal goat oocytes.
