Abstract

An interview with French philosopher Jean Baudrillard is presented. When asked about his views on U.S. artist Andy Warhol, he mentions that his works depict banality and seriality due to the presence of a genial element of prodigality, surprise, and shock. Baudrillard adds that the style of the fragment that he uses in his works challenges readers because it allows an instantaneous conversion of passions, humors and viewpoints. He also notes that the leadership of U.S. President Ronald Reagan depicts the insignificance of power to U.S. people in 1989.
