CHAPTER VI: THE TOWER OF LOVE.

Chapter 6 of the book "One Heart One Mind: The Rebirth of Virgil's Hero in Medieval French Romance," is presented. It focuses on the condition of literacy in twelfth-century France. The standards of education rose, Christian authority was widely known and the number of educators increased. This period also witnessed the widening of gap among the various classes, rise of middle class society along with the increase of clerical population in order to serve the rich class.
