Abstract

The article offers information on the planning of British Library to archive Great Britain's free access web sites. It emphasizes on the role of internet in common people's life and need of preserving websites and online content. British Library research reveals that website's average life expectancy is between 44 and 75 days and after every six months atleast 10 percent of all sites replace its content. It informs that International Business Machines (IBM) Corp. will help in web archives.
