Importance of Leuprolide Acetate Variable Dosing for Precocious Puberty: A Range of Acceptable Suppression.

The article discusses central precocious puberty (CPP) treated with leuprolide acetate, in which hormonal suppression variations on bone maturation, growth rate and adult height projection were examined. It is stated that the height, weight, body mass index, luteinizing hormone (LH), estradiol and growth rate of subjects given variable doses of Lupron were studied for a year. Results showed that hormonal suppression achievement requires an equal variable dosing of leuprolide acetate.
