Abstract

The article presents a study on dose reconstruction for Belarus citizens affected by the Chernobyl accident. The study used tooth samples irradiated with varying energies. It demonstrated that when tooth enamel dose is formed due to x-rays and additional irradiation with gamma radiation, the absorbed dose reconstructed by electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spectra increased as compared with the applied. Opposite results were observed when tooth enamel dose was formed due to gamma radiation and additional x-ray irradiation.
