Abstract

The article reports that the French brasserie La Goulue in New York City will reopen in spring 2010 by its founder and co-owner, Jean Denoyer. When it closed in August 2009, because its landlord had other plans for the building, the French brasserie was profitable. It was sustained by its well-heeled customers, including celebrities like Kim Cattrall, Jude Law and Bruce Springsteen as well as the privileged residents of the Upper East Side, even through an economic downturn.
