Archeological Studies of Bohai in Russia.

The article presents an examination of Russian-led archaeological expeditions in the region that, from the late 7th century to the early 10th century, was known as the Chinese state of Bohai. Bohai, today, is divided among the Russian Maritime Region, North Korea and Northeastern China. Russian archaeological expeditions have studied the region from the 1870s to the present day. The article examines the findings that have been discovered and discusses the existence of artifacts indicating the presence of multiple cultures in the area.
