Abstract
- Subject of interest of this paper is the continuity of the Turkish language influence in the Macedonian language with respect to the lexis. The loaning from the Turkish language started since XIV-XVI century, it has continuity and has various intensity depending on the factual sociological and historical circumstances. The Turkish influence can be related principally with the appearance of the vernacular handwritten texts. At the end of XIX century there was a tendency for restricting the use of the Turkish loans. Today the Turkish loanwords are present in the language of the older as well as in the language of the younger population in Macedonia. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
