Abstract

The article discusses a study which investigated the effects of ethyl-cyanoacrylate and octyl-cyanoacrylate on experimental cornea lesions in rabbits. The study included 36 rabbits that underwent lamellar karetectomy and were histopathologically evaluated. The corneal epithelization and collagen organization were found to have occurred without severe complications. Study authors concluded that octyl-cyanoacrylate is better than ethyl-cyanoacrylate.
