Abstract
- The article discusses the possible effect of the 2009 death of U.S. Senator Edward Kennedy on educational law and legislation. Kennedy's important role in the creation of educational law during his long career in the Senate is examined. His successor as chairman of the Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee, U.S. Senator Tom Harkin, is seen as sharing many of Kennedy's educational priorities.
