Abstract

The article discusses nutrient solubility and nutrient mobility in plants, two major factors that affect the plant's ability to utilize nutrients. These two properties are vital for better fertilizer management and diagnosis of plant nutrient disorders. Solubility means the fertilizer nutrient's ability to dissolve in water, while mobility means the ability of the nutrient to move inside the plant once ingested by the roots. The factors that affect nutrient solubility are also cited, such as the chemical form of the nutrient.
