Abstract

The article offers information on the economic condition in Ireland. The country's exposure to volatile global market is enhanced by a focus on narrow band of high technology industries, pharmaceuticals, and medical appliances. The cause of the Ireland's difficulties is its failure to face the realities of unregulated globalization. Ireland can solve the difficulties by staying away from an understanding of society that lessens the notion of autonomy to freedom from constraint or restriction.
