Abstract

This article discusses a study which examined the effects of different doses of glycerol from biodiesel production added to diets on growth and laying performance, egg traits and some blood biochemical parameters on laying quails. The study administered different doses of glycerol in the quails. It found that the dietary glycerol treatment do not affect the mortality rate of the quails. It also revealed that quails with the highest glycerol dose showed altered egg quality by decreasing the albumen height, the albumen index and the Haugh unit.
