Abstract

The article highlights an investigation on the decadal and long-term sea level variations along the Pacific coast of Japan. Long-term sea level variability has been on the spotlight recently due to its relation with global warming. The investigation used different data sets, which includes tide gauge records and global gridded ocean temperature, that was analyzed using the empirical mode decomposition method. A discussion of the long term sea level variation at the Japanese coast is offered.
