Penile loss following complete primary repair of bladder exstrophy.

Abstract: The complete penile disassembly technique is increasingly employed during the surgical repair of classic bladder exstrophy. We describe the complication in a newborn boy of loss of the glans penis following complete primary exstrophy repair. The possible causes and prevention of this injury are discussed.
