The article presents a study pertaining to the responses of components of the ridge and slough landscape to climate variability and 20th century water management in Everglades, Florida. It explores the importance of conducting the study on Everglades restoration because this is provides data on the function and structure of wetland communities. Moreover, this can be used for developing strategies to obtain sustainable ecosystem restoration.
