Abstract

The paper discusses the impact of the institutions of the labor market in Bulgaria on its flexibility. The institutions are widely defined, labor market policies included. Empirical evaluations of the flexibility of the labor market are made based on the adopted definition of flexibility. Suggested are quantitative evaluations and comparative analysis of the labor market institutions (the legal protection of the employed and the collective labor contracting), which are compatible with the OECD methodology.
