CTE advocates urge Congress to boost Perkins funding.

Abstract
- The article discusses the U.S. Congressional funding for the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act, which authorizes funding for vocational-technical education programs and services to youth and adults. According to the article, the last measurable increase in funding for the legislation occurred in fiscal year 2002 and enrollment in career and technical education (CTE) courses have reached record high levels since. The annual federal funding average for CTE programs is discussed.
