Abstract

The article discusses notes on cases tried in the British High Court of Admiralty. Depositions in the case of George Popham, captain of the ship "Gift of God" and master of the Popham colony founded in Virginia, and the ship's master, John Havercombe, describe the ship's voyage to Virginia and its return to England. Information on the voyage of the ship "Treasurer" to the Jamestown colony in Virginia, its meeting with the ship "Neptune," and the death of the baron Thomas De la Warre, is presented. The transfer of passengers from the "Neptune" to the "Treasurer" is described.
