Abstract
- The article deals with the use of intelligent compaction (IC) in the U.S. construction industry. It traces the origins of IC has grown out of automated machine guidance (AMG). It relates that Minnesota is the only U.S. state which allow contracts enabling IC, but its specification is still under regular revision. It explains the impact of IC on roller operators.
