Abstract
- The article focuses on the detection of a new compound obtained from the larva of the dobsonfly Protohermes grandis Thunberg which was considered to be a cyclic dipeptide of D-ornithine. The detection of the new compound was done through a chiral analysis, with a performance liquid chromatography, 2D-nuclear magnetic resonance and field desorption mass spectrometry. It notes that the compound is characterized with lactam structure of a 12-membered ring which implies its physiological relevance.
