LETTRES DE PAYSANS RUSSES AUX AUTORITÉS (1905-1925).

The article proposes the analysis of a corpus of 16 complaint letters from Russian peasants addressed to religious, political or journalistic authorities. These letters were sent during two periods, between 1905 and 1909, and between 1924 and 1925. A thematic bibliography on Russian peasantry from the end of the 19th century to the 1920s is presented, as well as the translation of the letters into French. According to the article, these letters provide a valuable explanation and justification of the Russian Revolution.
