Abstract
- The article discusses the Prairie Pothole Country in Central North Dakota widely known as Northern Plains. It mentions that it has a Continental Steppe climate where it is cold in winter and hot during summer, with temperatures varying from 180 degrees Fahrenheit to 60 degrees below zero. It notes that president Thomas Jefferson sees it as a garden, others consider it as wasteland while to Plains Indians, it is the center of the Earth.
