Abstract
- The article describes the appeal of Ely, Nevada for soaring and gliding enthusiasts. The soaring conditions that make Ely popular among glider pilots from the U.S. and other countries include pleasant climate, excellent visibility, good lift, picturesque terrain, a high base and lots of cumulus clouds. In addition, Ely provides a tow lane, accessible amenities and a great social atmosphere.
