Abstract
- The article focuses on archaeology research concerning the former baptistery of the church of El-Gaalla near Monastir, Tunisa. The baptistery is located in a basilica dating from the sixth century. According to the article, the basilica was renovated as part of a preservation program in 1993. The base of the baptistery is decorated with a Roman cross and a well-preserved mosaic. Topics under consideration include the architectural design of the site and the religious practices of the groups that worshiped at the site. Also discussed is the relationship between Arianism and Orthodox Christianity.
