Abstract

The article discusses the symptoms and ways on how to avoid overtraining. The condition happens when period of physical fitness are prolonged or too extreme without giving the body a time to recover. An overtrained athlete who failed to recover from exercise bouts may suffer negative results such as excessive fatigue, decrease in performance, depression and weight loss. Tips to avoid overtraining include intensifying workout routine, getting plenty of sleep and having a healthy diet.
